Mrs. Krogh's organic merino is a classic soft wool yarn. Spun from 4 strands and with a fine volume. Great for everything from cozy sweaters to plaids, mittens, hats and more.
The merino is mulesing free and from Peru. Pair it with a single strand of silk mohair & knit airy projects on larger needles. For example, I have a model of Knitting for Olive's Truffle Sweater hanging around. It's airy and beautiful knitted with the 2 strands on needle 8.
Fru Krogh’s organic merino yarn is a classic, full-bodied, and wonderfully soft wool yarn spun from 100% organic merino from Peru. The merino is mulesing-free and is suitable for everything from cozy sweaters and cardigans to throws, mittens, and hats. It’s the perfect everyday yarn for those who want to knit with a clear conscience—sustainable, soft, and beautiful.
Merino has a natural elasticity that helps the knit retain its shape, while also being warm and incredibly soft against the skin. The stitches stand out clearly in the finished piece, so that graphic and textured patterns, for example, appear crisp and defined.
Combine your organic merino yarn with a single strand of silk mohair and knit airy projects on larger needles—for example, size 8. This combination creates a light, airy, and luxurious result. For example, Ms. Krogh has a version of Knitting for Olives’ popular Truffle Sweater, knitted with the two strands on size 8 needles. It turns out wonderfully airy and beautiful. You can find inspiration for merino projects on Ravelry.
The yarn can be knitted as a single strand using needles sizes 3.00–6.50, depending on the look and lightness you want. You can also knit with double strands of yarn for more volume and warmth.
Each skein of organic merino yarn is carefully hand-dyed, and there may be slight variations in shade from skein to skein—a natural part of the craftsmanship that makes your project unique. Please note that the color in the photo may differ slightly from the actual product, as it depends on your screen’s color calibration. We always take three photos of each color, preferably outdoors in natural light.
I'd be happy to attach the key rings for you before I ship the package. Just please note that this will void your right to return the item, and that the delivery time will be extended by one business day.
