Mrs. Krogh's organic merino is a classic soft wool yarn. Spun from 4 strands and with a fine volume. Great for everything from cozy sweaters to plaids, mittens, hats and more.
The merino is mulesing free and from Peru. Pair it with a single strand of silk mohair & knit airy projects on larger needles. For example, I have a model of Knitting for Olive's Truffle Sweater hanging around. It's airy and beautiful knitted with the 2 strands on needle 8.
Merino has a natural elasticity that helps the knitwear retain its shape while being warm and incredibly soft to the touch. The stitches stand out clearly in the finished knit, so graphic patterns, for example, look nice and crisp.
The yarn can be knitted as a single strand on anything from a needle size 3.00 - 6.50 depending on the look and lightness you want. You can also knit with double yarn or choose to join it together, for example with a strand of silk mohair.
