Fru Krogh's Merino blend is an exclusive yarn spun from lustrous silk and fine long merino fibers. The merino is mulesing free and from Peru.
Merino has a natural elasticity that helps the knitwear retain its shape while being warm and incredibly soft to the touch. The silk gives a smooth yarn with a fine sheen and makes the yarn feel comfortable and luxurious to knit with. The stitches are clearly visible in the finished knit, so patterns are nice and crisp.
Mrs. Krogh's merino-silk yarn is an exclusive and soft yarn—spun from 60% merino and 40% silk—that produces beautiful, well-defined stitches and a delicate sheen.
This yarn can be knitted as a single strand using needles ranging from 2.00 to 3.50, depending on the look and lightness you want. You can also knit with two strands of yarn or choose to combine it with, for example, a strand of silk mohair.
