The yarn can be knitted as a single strand from needles 3.00 - 5.00 depending on the look and lightness you want. You can also choose to join it together, for example with a strand of silk mohair.

Alpaca yarn in this thickness has a fantastic weight and requires you to think about what project you want to use it for. For example, a rib will lose some of its elasticity and larger projects can also grow a little bigger in use. That said, you won't find much softer, warmer yarn for a beautiful sweater. But as with all natural fibers, you need to be aware of the specific properties of each fiber.
