The robe is sewn locally on Bornholm by the designer who lives on the island
The full width of the fabric roll is used to provide as comfortable and spacious a robe as possible (robe width approx. 85 cm)
The pockets are so deep that nothing falls out even if you bend over completely. (approx. 25 cm from insertion to bottom)
The length of the robe varies slightly. If there is some fabric left over, it is added to the individual. But the ones I have in the store right now measure approx. 125 cm. from the neck down.
The ASTA robe is the ultimate beach robe for the beach, surfing, winter swimming, and cozy evenings at home. Made from thick 100% cotton terry cloth of the same quality as the most absorbent bath towels, the ASTA robe is a piece of Danish craftsmanship you’ll love year after year.
The robe is sewn locally on Bornholm by a designer who lives on the island. The entire width of the fabric roll has been used, so the robe is extremely roomy and fits comfortably on all body types, from size S to XL. This gives you complete freedom to change clothes under the robe—without revealing too much.
The ASTA robe is popular with many different groups. Surfers wear it over their wetsuits when they come out of the water—it provides an extra layer of insulation while they gather their gear and change clothes. Winter swimmers appreciate the thick cotton, which helps them warm up again after cold dips in the ocean. Beachgoers use the robe for private changing on the beach—free from prying eyes—and the large hood provides protection from the sun during the hot midday hours.

The robe has not been washed before delivery. The first time you wash it, it will begin to absorb moisture effectively and become even softer. We recommend washing it at 40 degrees with a mild detergent and tumble drying on low heat to preserve its thickness.
