Eucalan Delicate Wash is the ideal wool soap.
Basically, it is intended for hand washing but can also be used in a washing machine. The eco-friendly formula also acts as a dust mite repellent and anti-static.
Eucalan is a rinse-free wash, which means that the formula gently releases dirt in the wash, cleaning the fabric without the need for a final rinse. Although the yarn absorbs little of the soap, it still has beneficial properties. Lanolin strengthens and conditions clothing fibers - it's particularly good for wool and knitwear, but can be used for almost anything.
Besides the unscented version, there are also scented variants, which are infused with pure essential oils used as a fragrance. They are naturally antibacterial or moth repellent. They are meant to stay in clothes for added benefits; think of blankets and knitted sweaters that are packed away for the cold months.
Eucalan's rinse-free formula is also convenient - great for traveling if you don't have a washing machine or want to save water. However, if you prefer to rinse afterwards, you can do that too.
